Point is combining of “Inner shadows” and “Drop shadow”, use some black to increase inner shadow and use some color that are close to the color of background. For example, in this example, it is the blue purple color, use this to increase the shadow is cool. There are no rules of how many effects should be added. The best way I found is to adjust it until it looks cool. You are the designer; you decide when and how it looks cool.
